FORT COLLINS, Colo. – A Colorado mother died after crashing her motorcycle during a memorial ride in honor of her son, who also was killed in a recent motorcycle accident, authorities said.

Diane Everett, 51, of Milliken, lost control of her motorcycle and crashed into a ditch near Loveland on Saturday, The Fort Collins Coloradoan reported.

The car that was due to be shared by Ryan Dalziel, Thomas Laurent and Dwight Merriman has been scratched from the entry for the French endurance classic after Merriman’s shunt at the Dunlop chicane on Thursday.

A self-storage building in Binghamton sustained extensive damage when a car crashed through a fence and slammed into the structure before driving away.

Authorities say the incident at U-Haul Moving and Storage at 262 Front Street occurred around 1:30 a.m. Friday.
