“I went to bed that night, when I knew the deal was signed, I just slept so well,” James Shaw tells Cycling Weekly about the day he signed the contract to take him back to the WorldTour after a three-year absence.

“The best nights’ sleep I’ve had for maybe a year. Got into bed and bam…I just went, knowing that everything is going to be a bit brighter.”

But before the happy ending to this particular chapter in his life, let’s first go back to what in hindsight was a false restart to his cycling career.

Doomed love and motorcycle maintenance are tempered in Leon Bridges’ “Motorbike” [Video]

admin

Texan soul singer Leon Bridges has put in a mid-year contender for track and video combination of 2021 with the mesmerising “Motorbike”. The track is the second single released in preparation for Bridges’ forthcoming album Gold-Diggers Sound, the first being the socially conscious Terrace Martin collaboration “Sweeter”. “Motorbike” flips this and gives us a seemingly straightforward tale of love executed with such perfection even the most embittered cynic might capitulate to their feels. The video is notable for being directed by soul hip-hop revival sensation Anderson .Paak, showing the kind of unchecked versatility which is frankly

The Rotary Suzuki RE5 Was One of the Smoothest Motorcycles Ever. Too Bad It Failed

admin

The world’s first Wankel-engined motorbike was the air-cooled Hercules W-2000. Fellow German DKW, England’s Norton and Dutch Van Veen also produced rotary motorbikes, yet on the Japanese side, only Suzuki was bold enough to put the technology into series production. What’s more, Suzuki came up with a complex water-cooled powertrain with double-walled exhausts and a massive radiator to keep the rotary’s heat under control, on a bike that also featured elements designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro. The result was unconventional, expensive for its performance, and probably the smoothest riding motorbike ever produced in volume.

Unfortunately, with that volume staying very low
