What if we told you this Bentley is for $2 million but the roof is not included? No, we are not joking.

Bentley’s new Bacalar has no roof. It is not a convertible. It just does not have a roof. Goodbye rainy day drives for those who want to buy it.

Bentley designers took the liberty to come up with a vehicle that does not have a roof and yet costs a whopping $2 million (Rs 14,70,52,200).

“When you don’t have a roof, you can make the flow of the cabin go into the contour of the exterior. So this car is very much about the design language,” said Bentley spokesman Tim Hannig, according to a CNN report.

“And we wanted to create something of extraordinary beauty. Therefore, no roof,” he added.

Only about a dozen Bacalars will be manufactured and that essentially makes it a privately owned concept car. Unlike other concept cars, this one is totally road-legal.

According to the report, the all-wheel-drive Bacalar has a turbocharged 650-horsepower 12-cylinder engine but is not meant to be a street-shredding high-performance sports car.

People who will buy the unrepeated car are not paying for performance but for its unique design. All 12 Bacalar production cars have now been designed to each customer’s particular tastes, Hannig said.

“Every car has its absolute own personality,” he said.
